High Street Dental Practice provides private care for adults on a fee per item basis or on the Denplan Care scheme. Children of registered patients can be seen on the NHS up to the age of 18, or 19 if in full time education. For adults specifically looking for NHS care, please see the NHS website at www.nhs.uk to find local practices accepting NHS patients.
Private Fees
Patients who see us privately can be registered on a ‘pay as you go’ scheme or through Denplan Care. We also see patients who have their own dental insurance and work with all major providers in the UK.

Denplan Care
Denplan payment plans are provided by Simplyhealth Professionals, the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist. They have consistently used a preventive approach to dental care and, with their unique and wide-ranging support services, have been looking after dentists and their patients for over 30 years. They support patients by allowing them to budget for their private dental care and encourage a preventive approach to oral healthcare. As the only consumer-facing brand in the payment plan market, Denplan payment plans are one of the most recognised names in dental healthcare among UK consumers. Denplan patients are given the best possible service (from the UK-based call centre) from the moment they join. To find out more about us go to www.denplan.co.uk
The dentist will assess the oral health status of a patient by the treatments received, the condition of gums and condition of oral hygiene, all of which will have a points score. The total score will place the patient in one of five bands, each with a monthly subscription rate (see below).
The Denplan Care scheme is one of the most comprehensive schemes on the market, which is why it has over 1.8 million members nationwide. Like most care schemes, it tries to keep competitive in the market and therefore does not provide certain cosmetic treatments, orthodontics or dental implants.
Denplan Care does not cover:
Laboratory fees and prescriptions
Any treatment excluded by the dentist in your contract which is payable by you at the private fee rates
Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
Treatment carried out anywhere other than by your registered dentist
Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
Refer to the Denplan website www.denplan.co.uk or call us today on 01223 835845 to find out more.
These fees are payable each month to Denplan Ltd for the 12 month period commencing January 2026. The scope of treatment available under the scheme is detailed in a brochure available at the reception desk.
